While we are home enjoying spring break this week, we have been able to plan how we will celebrate one of our favorite holidays next week – St. Patrick’s Day (a.k.a. the only day of the year we gingers are in style). I let B help me out with some of the lesson planning, and here are some of the activities we are planning for next week:
- With a little luck o’ the Irish we’ll be able to re-create this density experiment from Gift of Curiosity and make our own skittle rainbow.
- Since both kids love fuse beads, we’ll be making our own shamrocks like these. Paper Dali also has these really cool Saint Patrick coloring pages.
- I also created a Saint Patrick Webquest that will teach B a little more about Saint Patrick’s life and ministry in Ireland.
- If you are looking to include something a little bit different in your study of Ireland and Saint Patrick’s Day this year, Amazon also has a great Kindle book Myths and Folk Tales of Ireland available for FREE.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
