Wearing of the Green

Standard

Saint PatrickWhile we are home enjoying spring break this week, we have been able to plan how we will celebrate one of our favorite holidays next week – St. Patrick’s Day (a.k.a. the only day of the year we gingers are in style).  I let B help me out with some of the lesson planning, and here are some of the activities we are planning for next week:

  • With a little luck o’ the Irish we’ll be able to re-create this density experiment from Gift of Curiosity and make our own skittle rainbow.
  • Since both kids love fuse beads, we’ll be making our own shamrocks like these.  Paper Dali also has these really cool Saint Patrick coloring pages.
  • I also created a Saint Patrick Webquest that will teach B a little more about Saint Patrick’s life and ministry in Ireland.
  • If you are looking to include something a little bit different in your study of Ireland and Saint Patrick’s Day this year, Amazon also has a great Kindle book Myths and Folk Tales of Ireland available for FREE.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
